Next week, Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) will finally square off in "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice." The movie is going to set up the coming "Justice League" film and will continue to develop the heroes and villains of the DC Universe. Warner Brothers released six new clips from the film online, one of which gave a nod to the biggest villain in Batman's world, the Joker.

One of the scenes teased in a trailer is an encounter between the heroes' alter-egos, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne. Clark, who is working as a reporter for the Daily Planet, asks Bruce for his thoughts on the "Bat Vigilante." Clark thinks Batman is acting above the law, while Bruce says he shouldn't believe everything he hears. He doesn't like how the Daily Planet seems to favor Superman, who is an alien that can destroy the entire city if he wishes. Clark feels no one really feels the way Bruce does and Bruce blames the Gotham City inside of him while hinting at the Joker. He said the city has "a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns."

The new Joker (Jared Leto) is expected to make his debut in "Suicide Squad." Batman is rumored to make at least a small appearance in the film after he was shown jumping on the roof of the villain's car in one of the trailers. "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will feature an older Batman, who is in a way haunted by the things he's experienced. One of which could be the Joker killing a version of Robin.

Joker isn't the only villain that has a part in the clips. In another scene Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) is shown giving Superman a pep talk. He's trying to convince the hero to go fight Batman to the death and refers to their coming battle as "the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world." Superman then looks at him with an unamused look on his face.

While many fans can't wait to see Batman and Superman fight one another, Alfred (Jeremy Irons) doesn't want it to happen. In another video clip, he's shown trying to talk Bruce out of "going to war" because Superman is not their enemy. Bruce has seen too many good guys go bad, and he thinks the same will happen to Superman, which is why he feels he has to try to destroy him.

The rooftop battle between the two heroes, which was previewed a few weeks ago in a scene that showed Superman catching a bullet, is also a part of the released clips. The final clip is of Bruce meeting Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Diana has apparently stolen something from Bruce, and he wants it back. He tells her that he's not going to let her get away with it and he has known women like her. She assures him that he hasn't met anyone like her.
