“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” will be getting its final piece of downloadable content (DLC) soon, as New Game Plus has officially landed on the Xbox One. While the mode has yet to arrive on the PlayStation 4 or PC, it is likely a matter of time before it arrives on every available platform. The patch for the final DLC is quite light, only weighing in at 9.51 MB.

No official explanation was given on why it landed on Xbox One first, though GameSpot stated that the DLC might have just made its way to Xbox Live ahead of schedule. The final piece of DLC should be available for other platforms in the coming days, as previous content for “The Witcher 3” did not come on any specific console first.

A lot of effort has been put into New Game Plus, as the mode was not simply released with the rest of the game’s DLC, as developer CD Projekt Red needed more time to perfect the mode. Players with a Geralt over level 30 will start out in that level, with all of his previous items minus anything important gained from quests. Players below level 30 will immediately be bumped to that level, according to IGN.

New Game Plus will continue to let players choose a difficulty setting, though the mode instantly makes enemies tougher regardless of the option chosen. Playing in New Game Plus will also grant players the “Death March” achievement/trophy, which can only be obtained by playing this mode.

While New Game Plus is the final piece of free DLC for the game, fans will be able to get more mileage out of “The Witcher 3” with future expansion packs. Unlike the other DLC for the game, fans will have to pay for the expansions. These expansion packs promise to add 10 or so hours to the game while also adding new areas for Geralt to explore and new missions to take on.

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game will come with 15 pieces of free DLC, including alternate hairstyles and armor for Geralt.
