Apart from its metal-clad flagship device HTC One M9 and the bigger sibling HTC One M9+, the Taiwanese tech giant is reportedly getting ready to introduce a new smartphone dubbed “HTC Aero.” Former tipster Evan Blass from @evleaks fame has hinted that the HTC Aero release date is set for the fourth quarter of 2015.

At this point, the HTC Aero is believed to be the internal codename of the upcoming device. Meanwhile, according to Phone Arena, HTC CEO Cher Wang apparently talked about a work-in-progress device during the quarterly results press conference. In fact, she reportedly told that, HTC has several new devices lined up other than the One M9 and One M9+.

On the other hand, another widely known tipster called @upleaks replied to the @evleaks tweet about the HTC Aero by saying, "It's really awesome." Thus, confirming the upcoming device from HTC.

As far as the rumored HTC Aero specifications and features are concerned, Phone Arena says, the handset will likely have a Quad HD display, as this has become the norm in the recently released devices. The phone will apparently be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. In the meantime, CNET’s Scott Webster says, the cutting edge configurations will be complemented by either a 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM configuration.

Speaking of camera specification, in addition to the reported OIS support, CNET says, HTC will strive hard to give tough competition to the camera-specialists like Sony and LG. In addition, the reported HTC Aero release date apparently coincides with Android M’s consumer-ready release time frame. Nonetheless, readers should note that, the tech giant has not confirmed the HTC Aero specifications or release date thus far.

What do you think of the HTC Aero? Will HTC launch a new high-end device with Android M on board? Feel free to leave a comment.
