Paramount Pictures has released a new clip of “Terminator Genisys” featuring a chaotic bus chase on the Golden Gate Bridge. In the clip, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) can be seen driving a school bus recklessly, hitting various vehicles as she tries to battle with a T-3000 (Jason Clarke). Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is following Connor in a cop car and Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) appears to be moving inside the bus with a gun in his hand. The clip ends with T-3000 removing a mechanical part from the bus and making it flip in the air.

According to Entertainment Weekly, this is one of the film's many CGI sequences, and it was filmed on the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge is a popular site for Hollywood action: it recently was shown being destroyed in “San Andreas,” while -- in this clip -- the cars on the bridge were getting destroyed.

Alan Taylor directed “Terminator Genisys,” with a script written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier and based on characters created by James Cameron and Gale Ann Hurd. The film will center on Connor who will be raised by Guardian after her parents are killed by a cyborg sent by Skynet. The action in the film takes place in three time periods: past, present and future, and the audience will see John Connor sending his trusted lieutenant Reese back in time to protect his mother and to ensure his existence.

Emilia Clarke, who plays Sarah Connor in the film, is thrilled to be a part of “Terminator” franchise. “We’re taking on something that is legendary and beautiful in itself. What we are doing to it is incredibly exciting and different and kind of embracing what has already happened but getting the opportunity to create something new, which is always fun,” she said to Slash Film.

“Terminator Genisys” opens July 1. Other cast members include Lee Byung-hun, Matt Smith and J. K. Simmons.
