General Idea Fall 2012 collection was inspired by winter athletic wear turned into street wear suave. Designer Bumsuk Choi took inspiration from hockey players participating in the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France.

On the runway, male models sported thin, slouchy pants, outerwear accented with fur, suede and shearling, colorful knit hats, cozy sweatshirts, a varsity jacket with toggle buttons and trousers with extra large pockets.

The color scheme consisted on earthy hues like burnt orange, forest green, burgundy and beige. Dark navy underscored the entire collection.

Footwear adhered to the athleticism motif, as well, with models wearing all-purpose, heavy-duty boots.

Bumsuk Choi's functional take on athletic-inspired menswear will bring machoism back in Fall 2012.
