Michael Clare, a former minister and school principal from West Harrison, N.Y., was charged Thursday with sexually abusing a teenage girl in his congregation.

Clare, who worked at Harvest Worship Center International, was also accused in 2010 of raping and impregnating another teen girl, according to media reports.

The latest charges are that Clare sexually abused a teenage girl from 2009 to 2011, beginning when she was 14. Journal News reports said the minister abused the girl at her school, Harvest Preparatory Academy, where he was the principal; at his former home in the Bronx borough of New York; and at his current home in West Harrison.

Prosecutors alleged his previous victim was 12 when the abuse began and that she became pregnant by him at 15. DNA evidence linked the minister to the child, according to the Associated Press.

Clare is being held on $700,000 cash bail or a $250,000 bond, the Journal News reported. Clare is facing charges of second-degree rape, third-degree criminal sex act, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, and child endangerment, the Journal News said.

The former minister has been ordered to stay away from children under the age of 16, the Associated Press reported. He has also been forced to hand over his passport.
