Will (Jeff Daniels, pictured) and ACN face trouble with the F.B.I. in Season 3 of "The Newsroom." HBO

The wait is nearly over for fans of “The Newsroom.” The third and final season of the HBO show premieres Sunday, Nov. 9, and fans will finally see Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) and the ACN team back in action. The synopsis for the premiere episode has already been released revealing that the first episode will center around the Boston Marathon bombing in April 2013. However, TV Guide has the scoop on a few more details about the much-anticipated premiere.

According to TV Guide, Will and the ACN team will be so cautious about their reporting on the bombing in the aftermath of the Genoa scandal (which almost sunk the station in Season 2) that they will end up being last on many of the major developments. The situation results in them coming in last in the rating as well, a fact that is sure to make things tense around the newsroom and which might explain Will’s frustration in the promos for the premiere.

Another reveal from TV Guide, the FBI will raid the newsroom in Season 3! The synopsis revealed that Neal (Dev Patel) might end up in some hot water when he is sent leaked government documents proving riots in Kundun were sparked by falsified press stories. When the documents he receives turn out to be illegally obtained, ACN will be in trouble once again. Apparently, the situation will escalate to the point of a police raid and investigation right in the middle of the ACN newsroom.

Season 3 is shaping up to be an exciting one for fans with the stakes high for the final episodes of the HBO series. Will Neal’s documents be the last straw for ACN or will the station be able to save itself once more? Fans will have to wait to find out. “The Newsroom” starts back up with the Season 3 premiere on Nov. 9 on HBO.
