Week 9 of the 2014 NFL Season is upon us, with a few key matchups on the schedule.

The week begins with a “Thursday Night Football” game that may have serious postseason implications. The New Orleans Saints visit the Carolina Panthers in a matchup of the two top teams in the NFC South divisions. Both teams have records under .500, but every division winner is guaranteed a playoff berth.

Another important matchup involves the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Arizona Cardinals. Both teams lead their respective divisions, in perhaps the biggest surprise of the 2014 season. The Cowboys are coming off a tough loss on Monday night, and may be without the services of quarterback Tony Romo.

Perhaps the most intriguing matchup will be between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, in a rematch of the AFC Championship game. It will be yet another duel between star quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
