Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are proving that they’re friendly exes. Cannon, who filed for divorce from Carey in 2014, spent Father’s Day with his soon-to-be ex-wife, their two children, Monroe and Moroccan, and his mom. The “America’s Got Talent” host shared photos from their outing on Instagram and used one family picture to mock rumors that he and Carey weren’t getting along.

Posting the group shot Sunday, Cannon wrote: “Leaving the Haters in the Wind! LOL They want us to be mad so bad! @MariahCarey but we happier than happy!” The actor and TV personality, 35, also shared pictures of his kids showing off artwork they made for him.

It was reported this month that Cannon and Carey were feuding because he was supposedly stalling the divorce process by not signing the paperwork that would officially end their marriage. Sources told TMZ that the “Obsessed” singer has been trying to get Cannon to sign the papers for almost a year but he kept refusing. According to the outlet, Cannon was stalling because he still has feelings for Carey and isn’t onboard with her marrying James Packer. Carey and Packer got engaged last year after dating for seven months. It’s believed that the pair will get married this summer.

Cannon responded to TMZ’s story insisting that it was a “lie.” The “Real Husbands of Hollywood” star claims that he and Carey get along just fine. “Slow news day, huh? Going back to the same well,” he tweeted. “How many times y’all going to report this lie? Tell your so called ‘sources’ to call me.”

In an interview with Genius.com Sunday, Cannon opened up about his new freestyle, “Divorce Papers,” in which he raps about his divorce, telling the outlet that the song was a response to media making up stories about his and Carey’s relationship. “I was like, ‘You want divorce papers, well, here you go!’” he said.

Cannon also described the divorce as the “absolute worst” and said it’s been draining. “Everyone wants to move on but you are forced to go through all of this litigious government bulls--- that can force unwanted confrontation,” Cannon explained.

Despite rumors of discord between them, Cannon told KarenCivil.com that things are “diligently moving” along so they can go both go on with their lives. “I am happy for her and all her new endeavors, both personal ones and professional ones,” he told the site.
