Former 98 Degrees members Nick and Drew Lachey are returning to reality television next year for “Lachey’s Bar.” The A&E docu-series will follow the brothers as they open a bar in Cincinnati. Both are familiar with having their lives documented. MTV’s “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” followed Nick when he was married to Jessica Simpson, and Drew won “Dancing With The Stars” Season 2.

The new series will document the brothers’ journey as they open a bar in their hometown, which is apparently a lifelong dream of theirs. Drew lives in Cincinnati with his wife Lea and their two kids, but Nick splits his time between New York and Los Angeles with his wife Vanessa and their son. The couple announced in July that they are expecting their second child, so Vanessa’s pregnancy will likely be documented as well. The bicoastal couple will be moving into a house that’s conveniently right next door to Drew and Lea.

Filming is starting on the 10 half-hour episodes immediately. The brothers can expect to run into plenty of problems when they realize that enjoying bars and running a bar are two very different things. Nick and Drew also will be executive producers of the show.

The show was originally pitched as a series for the new FYI network, according to Deadline. But the success of “The Wahlburgers” (where Mark Wahlberg’s family opens a burger restaurant together) probably influenced the move to A&E. Both cable channels are part of A+E Networks.

“Lachey’s Bar” will air in 2015 on A&E. Are you excited for the Lachey brothers to return to reality television? Sound off in the comments section below!
