The Super Bass hit maker Nicki Minaj got heads turning with her Bizzare outfit as she stepped on to the black carpet of the MTV's Video Music Awards on Sunday. A colourful Minaj was dressed in what can be described as a metal dress with a pink tutu that she combined with colorful socks and leg warmers.

Apparently, the out of the box creative dress-up is an inspiration from Tokyo.

Tokyo inspires this outfit. You know, Harajuku is something I have been absorbing for a very long time. The 28-year-old singer told reporters, who managed to grab eye balls with an ice cream necklace, a Japanese face mask and a pink, yellow and orange wig, reports acesshobiz.com.

Nicki Minaj won a number of awards along with the Best Hip-Hop video award for her club-hit Super Bass.
