After six years on the hit TV series “The Vampire Diaries,” Nina Dobrev is finally free of hectic filming schedules and finds that she’s enjoying her newfound free time. The actress made her final appearance as Elena Gilbert in the Season 6 finale on Thursday.

In an article posted by People on Thursday, Dobrev shared how she plans to do the opposite of what she’s been doing for the past six years. “I had a very scheduled, regimented life, and I've just been taking the whole month to not plan anything and see where life takes me and chill for a second before getting back into it and getting super-focused again," Dobrev said. "I want to live like a twentysomething!"

Now that she’s capped off six years with "The Vampire Diaries," Dobrev, 26, reveals how she’s not limiting herself to either film or television but will consider all options for her next project. She shares how she doesn’t want to put any labels or any criteria on what she’s doing but would rather focus on doing projects that she’s passionate about or are of good quality. And, the actress is not limiting herself to acting either; she’s open to other business ventures as well.

"There are so many different things that could happen. I'm just going to see where the universe takes me," she said.

In the latest issue of Self magazine, Dobrev tells how eager she is to tackle even more ambitious roles. The actress is keen on staying long in the game and has already appeared in various films such as “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” “Let’s be Cops” and the recent emo-horror satire “The Final Girls.”
