A little girl was found over the weekend locked in a Delaware gas station, while her mother remains missing.

Her father, 25-year-old Dwayne Jackson of Edison, New Jersey, was charged Thursday with kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.

Jackson was being held in lieu of $750,000 bail.

The girl, believed to be about two years old, was discovered Sunday by a stranger who heard her crying. Her name has not been released.

The child, who had been living with her mother in North Brunswick, N.J., remains in Delaware with her foster family.

Incidentally, police in Monsey, N.Y., have said a woman whose burned body was found in a park is connected to the case. They are investigating if the body was the baby's mother.
