Nolan Ryan, president and chief executive officer for the Texas Rangers, has been hospitalized in Houston and will undergo tests for a heart condition, a Rangers press release stated.

Ryan has been in the hospital since Sunday after feeling discomfort earlier that morning while at the family home in Texas.

Ryan's current discomfort may be related to a previous heart condition he experienced, the release stated.

Mr. Ryan is resting comfortably and reports he is feeling better. He is expected to be released from the hospital in a few days, according to the release.

Ryan, a former Major League Baseball pitcher, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999. He holds the record for the most no-hitters and strikeouts, which is seven and 5,714 respectively.
