Obama Won't Commit To Third Term For Fed Chairman Bernanke
President Obama hinted on Monday that he may not reappoint Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke when his term ends in January 2014.
In an interview with CBS Television's Charlie Rose late Monday, Obama said Bernanke "has already stayed a lot longer than he wanted or he was supposed to. He has been an outstanding partner, along with the White House, in helping us recover much stronger than for example our European partners."
The president, however, did not give a specific answer when asked about whether or not he would reappoint Bernanke for a third term.
