Oil rises above $61 on Tuesday as OPEC hold output remains strong and steady ahead of an OPEC meeting on May 28, 2009.

Its Oil rose $0.33 or 0.54% at $62, Brent rose $0.66 or 1.1% at $60.87 while its natural gas fell $0.017 or 0.48% at $3.498.

Recently, oil fell from more than $187.98 a barrel in July to about $40.92 in December as demand dropped off due to the global economic crisis.

In U.S light, sweet crude rose $0.12 to 0.19% at $61.79 on consumer confidence data according to OPEC kingpin Saudi Arabia as oil demand has begun to risen gradually.
