Get ready to meet the Snow Queen in episode 5 of “Once Upon a Time.” Actress Elizabeth Mitchell made her debut in Storybrooke a few weeks ago as Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Anna’s (Elizabeth Lail) long lost Aunt, but her arrival left fans with more questions than answers. Episode 5 of Season 4, titled “Breaking Glass,” will aim to answer some of those questions … while also stirring up more trouble.

According to the synopsis for episode 5, “Once Upon a Time” viewers will once again dive into Emma’s (Jennifer Morrison) past. A flashback will show a young Emma finding a “kindred spirit when she befriends a girl, who, like her, is a runaway orphan.” Does young Emma’s friend have something to do with the Snow Queen and her familiarity with the Savior?

Emma will finally catch a break in her search for the Snow Queen after losing her trail in episode 4. Sidney (Giancarlo Esposito), who is now trapped in Regina’s (Lana Parrilla) mirror again, will discover her whereabouts -- leading a reluctant Regina to team up with Emma to find the villain. But why would Regina agree to work with Emma? It appears as if the former Evil Queen truly wants to defrost Marian (Christie Laing).

Meanwhile, Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas) will finally get their first date night after the birth of Prince Neal when Belle (Emilie de Ravin) agrees to babysit. However, the two fail to get a relaxing night out when Will Scarlet (Michael Socha) escapes from the Storybrooke jail.

Finally, Emma will make a joyous discovery for Elsa when she spots Anna in the Storybrooke woods. But is everything as it seems?

“Once Upon a Time” Season 4 episode 5 will air on ABC on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. EDT. Watch the promo video for “Breaking Glass” below:
