“Once Upon a Time” fans could use a little light right now. The ABC fairytale drama has always featured “evil” storylines, but the second half of Season 4 has taken a really dark turn. The Queens of Darkness are plotting in town with Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), and viewers learned that Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas) have been hiding a horrible secret.

Things are looking grim for Emma (Jennifer Morrison) as the villains try to lure her over to their side, but “OUAT” fans are still holding out for a happy ending somewhere down the line – which is where Tinker Bell comes into play. The character has been missing in action, but actress Rose McIver revealed to Vulture that she’d love to reprise her role as the misunderstood but kind-hearted fairy.

According to McIver, her “iZombie” boss, creator Rob Thomas, is actually “really good friends” with “Once Upon a Time” creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Because of their standing relationship, the group has been working on fitting McIver in for a guest appearance.

“We’ve tried to talk about it and see if we can make that work,” she explained. “Scheduling can always be quite difficult, but it is a world that I would love to return to. I had a lot of fun on it, and a lot of my really dear friends are on that show. So hopefully Tink makes a reappearance!”

And fans are certainly rooting for the fairy to return – especially with Regina (Lana Parrilla) being so down lately. The former evil queen has joined the forces of good, but she has yet to catch a break. She lost her true love, Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), and will be facing some trouble from Rumpel in a coming episode. If Tinker Bell returns, she might be able to whip up some magic to reunite Regina and Robin. Or she might have to help Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) out. Although he confessed his feelings to Emma, the villains are threatening to unravel everything good.
