A magical casting decision has been made! “Once Upon a Time” has seen characters come and go over the years but viewers will happy to learn an original personality from the ABC series will be returning for Season 6.

Raphael Sbarge, who has portrayed Dr. Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket on and off for several seasons, will be reprising his role in a forthcoming episode, TV Line reports. Series showrunner Adam Horowitz shares that Sbarge will return to Storybrooke, Maine, during the fall premiere to help “a new patient.”

The 52-year-old actor reconfirmed his participation in Season 6 on Instagram late Tuesday, saying he is “thrilled” and a “happy cricket” to be returning.

While Horowtiz didn’t reveal who Archie will be helping diagnose, there are a few new faces joining the cast that might need some guidance. It has been revealed that a character named Morpheus, based on Greek mythology, will debut in the fall premiere episode. Characters from the folk tale “One Thousand and One Nights,” Scheherazade and Sinbad, will also appear. And, of course, a new season of “OUAT” wouldn’t be complete without a villain.

Viewers will remember a new big bad was introduced in the Season 5 finale in May. After making a deal with Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) to help him wake his wife Belle (Emilie de Ravin) from inside Pandora’s Box, Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer) arrived in Storybrooke alongside Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and the rest of the gang.

“Once Upon a Time” Season 6 will premiere with episode 1, “The Savior,” Sunday, Sept. 25 on ABC.
