One Direction fans are worried that Harry Styles might follow Zayn Malik's footsteps and soon leave the singing group. However, the curly-haired Styles avoided this question in a recent interview and instead spoke about how the group is having fun working on a new album.

"We have the album and the tour that we're working on right now," Styles told Ryan Seacrest on Thursday when the radio host asked him to comment on his long-term plans, People magazine writes. "I think when you have so many goals that you feel like you have yet to achieve, it's hard to kind of see past those. It's important to kind of focus on what's going on and don't kind of lose track,” the 21-year-old said, diplomatically avoiding the question of his exit plans from the group.

The British singer reiterated that he and other members of the group are “all working hard toward the same thing [new album] right now” without thinking about their past. Seacrest also asked Styles about how the group is coping after Malik's sudden exit. The group still follows a similar “creative process,” said Styles. The boys are currently busy working on their fifth studio album and are very excited about it, he said.

The newly written and composed songs sound great so far, but the group missed Malik's presence, said Styles. "(I)t was cool how some of the things came out sounding because actually there was a lot of parts that kind of need to get written with Zayn in mind and with all of us in mind,” he added.

Styles is currently busy with the “On The Road Again” world tour with his groupmates -- Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan. He added that the group aims to entertain its fans on the tour, no matter what. The group has been on tour for a couple of years but insist they “have so much fun doing it.”

One Direction wants people to come to their shows even if they are “not their biggest fans.” They want everyone on their show to have a “good time and go away saying, 'I enjoyed the show.'” The boyband was in news recently when Malik departed, saying he wanted to live like a “normal 22-year-old.” He is currently working on a solo album.
