Results are now in, naming the OnePlus 5 as the ninth best mobile camera on the market. The camera benchmark team DxOMark released its review of the camera Thursday, giving the OnePlus 5 camera a rating of 87. In comparison, the highest rated mobile camera, the HTC U11, has a rating of 90.

OnePlus has marketed its camera as one of the highlight features on the OnePlus 5. The Sony-made dual setup lens includes a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 20-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture and has seen rave reviews from pundits.

However, when put in comparison to many of rival smartphones, the OnePlus 5 has some heavy competition. Outperforming the shooter on the Chinese flagship include the Google Pixel, which is rated 89, the HTC 10, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Sony Xperia X, which are rated 88 and the Huawei P10 and Moto Z Force Droid, which are also rated at 87.

The OnePlus 5 beats out the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the Sony Xperia XZ and the Sony Xperia Z5, which are also rated at 87. The OnePlus 5 also outperforms the iPhone 7, LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5, among others.

So the OnePlus 5 remains in good company. The camera offers stellar white balance, vivid colors and fast autofocus, but struggles to maintain details in zoomed in or up close shots, according to DxOMark.

The OnePlus 5 was announced June 20 and released globally June 27. The $479 device features a 1,920 x 1,080 full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, 6GB/8GB of RAM options and 64GB/128GB storage options, 3,300mAh dash charge battery a USB Type-C port and Android 7.1.1 Nougat with an OxygenOS overlay.
