Oprah Winfrey, with more than 5,000 episodes of her daytime talk show under her belt, is changing rooms as she transitions from The Oprah Winfrey Show to cable, OWN.

She said, I'm not going away, I'm just changing. I'm just creating another platform for myself, which eventually will be wider and broader than what I have now, according to the New York Times.

However uplifting the move may be for Oprah herself from the demanding schedule of her syndicated program, she literally [curbs her] enthusiasm for the end.

The end of the Oprah Winfrey show does not end Oprah. It merely signals the end of an era in which she has become a representative icon: an icon of suffering, of spiritual certitude, of material hunger, and of female empowerment, wrote Kathryn Lofton, assistant professor of American studies and religious studies at Yale University.

Sherri Hope Culver, president of the National Association for Media Literacy Education, remarks, She is the host upon which everyone will be comparing themselves for a very long time. The fact that she is both a woman and a minority is remarkable.

Many have posted on Oprah.com farewell messages in the message boards.

Though secrecy surrounds Oprah's finale, the show will twinkle with stars. Two shows leading up to the finale feature tributes from celebrities, musical and dance numbers, and for sure laughter and tears, featuring: Will Smith, Madonna, Jerry Seinfeld, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise. Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, Michael Jordan and even Maria Shriver.

Even if you are not that big a fan of Oprah, this show will be hard to miss.
