It’s almost show time! Hollywood’s elite will be out Sunday to celebrate the 87th Academy Awards. The event honors the best in film for the year – but before the festivities even begin, all eyes will be on the red carpet.

From dates to dresses, viewers get a look at their favorite celebrity’s glammed up for a night of partying. And while the anticipation is high over the winners of best picture, actor and actress, fans can’t help but excited for the fashion.

With award shows like the Golden Globes and Grammys behind us, we’re looking at the 2015 red carpet trends and predictions for the Oscars:

Silver Sequins

“All that glitters is not gold” … it’s silver! Red carpet events in 2015 have looked like a disco thanks to the amount of sequins dresses. Although sequins isn’t anything new, there is no denying that it’s been a hot option for stars of all ages on the red carpet. “Fifty Shades of Grey” star Dakota Johnson, 25, rocked a silver sequins Sonia Rykiel dress at the “Saturday Night Live” 40th anniversary show, while Julianne Moore, 54, chose a custom couture Givenchy gown with feathers for the Golden Globes.

Sheer

Out with the cut outs and in with the sheer. Celebs appear to be showing a little skin thanks to sheer fabric. Both Meghan Trainor, 21, and Jessie J, 26, chose to rock the look at the 2015 Grammys. Trainor donned a black and lace Galia Lahav gown, while Jessie J went with a similar look by Ralph & Russo.

Pants

From jumpsuits to pantsuits, the hottest actresses in Hollywood are showing that you don’t need to be rocking a dress to look good on the red carpet. “Birdman” actress Emma Stone, 26, showed off the feminine side of slacks with a large bow and silver sequins bustier at the Golden Globes. Jennifer Aniston, 46, sexed up her Gucci tuxedo at the Critics Choice Awards by choosing to wear a statement necklace instead of a top underneath her deep V-neck blazer.

Zuhair Murad

Lebanese/ International fashion designer Zuhair Murad has been all over the red carpet this year. Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Portia de Rossi and Chrissy Teigen donned Zuhair Murad at the Golden Globe Awards in January, while Katy Perry sparkled at the Grammys at the beginning of the month. With the designer showing off his Spring Summer 2015 collection just a couple of weeks ago, expect more stars to get inspired by his runway style.

We’re hoping to see a celebrity in this gorgeous nude long sleeve fitted dress from the Spring Summer Haute Couture 2015 collection:
