“Outlander” left a lot of fans hanging with the midseason finale cliffhanger in April, but Starz is really making up for it with plenty of holiday presents for fans. After releasing a new trailer and a deleted scene, a new featurette has been released with some romantic new clips of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), and interviews with the actors.

“Jamie and Claire’s relationship really blossoms,” Heughan said.

“You’re just really going to love seeing the fruition of that,” Balfe added.

Unfortunately, it’s not just their relationship that will progress in the second half of "Outlander" Season 1. Their lives will also become even more dangerous. “The biggest thing, of course, is Jack Randall’s (Tobias Menzies) place in the storyline both with Claire and with Jamie will come to a head,” showrunner Ron Moore teased.

Fans remember that the midseason finale left us with Black Jack about to rape Claire, but Jamie coming in to stop him. It seems the Englishman won’t be the duo's only issue. Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) also senses something different about Claire. She won’t be politely nudging Claire into sharing secrets anymore. The video shows her yelling at Claire, “No more lies!”

“If you enjoyed the first half of the season, the second half of the season is a lot darker,” Heughan said.
