A set of pictures from the production set of “Outlander” Season 2 have leaked online, showing actors in French costumes. The main plot of the show will shift focus from Scotland to France in the next season.

Images posted on DailyRecord show the Pollok Country Park in Glasgow, Scotland is being used to depict a scene from 1700s France on the show. The pictures show the actors having discussions with some of the crew members before filming their scenes.

In a stark contrast to the costumes in the first season of the TV series, there will be more colorful costumes this time around. The French costumes have been made using blue, red and other bright colors. Even the materials used for the costumes are lustrous.

None of the main cast members appear in the leaked photos. The plot of “Outlander” Season 2 will focus on how Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will adjust to their new life in France and how they will attempt to stop the Battle of Culloden.

In a previous interview to Blastr, Heughan said that Jamie will try and get into his new political French life “wholeheartedly,” but he will not be “relishing” it. The two characters will apparently learn to “undercut people” and slowly become “political themselves.”

Claire will be the one who will push Jamie to take on the goal of changing the future as a “mission.” Balfe said that her character does this in order to help her husband overcome the traumatic experience that he went through while they were in Scotland.

Although Jamie may appear as a “charming” businessman during the day; at night this mask will come off when he is with his wife, Heughan revealed. Claire will deal with her own challenges of being pregnant. Their child will apparently bring the couple together and carry them through the challenges in France.

Executive producer Ronald Moore said that “Outlander” Season 2 will be filmed in Scotland, among other locations. Some of the locations in England will be stand-ins for Versailles. The filming of interiors will be done on the soundstages of the show.
