Owen Wilson, the Marley and Me actor, and his girlfriend Jade Duell, have split over commitment issues, reported the National Enquirer. The couple has a five-month old son.

Jade has moved to New York with the baby after the split. Owen stays in Santa Monica (California). According to the report, Owen wanted the freedom to do what he wanted with his friends, both male and female, while remaining a family unit with Jade and the baby.

But Jade wasn’t willing to go along with that. Hence it was Owen's decision to end things with her instead of cheating behind her back.

The couple had the baby in January, just four days after announcing that they were together and expecting. Jade Duell was an air marshal and the couple met each other on a flight.

'I was never like somebody who was like, 'Oh gosh, it's a little baby! Let me hold it', Own had told a U.S. entertainment show Access Hollywood.

'They're so fragile, but then when it is your own, all of a sudden you feel a lot more confident. You really do have this bond, this real connection with this thing that a month ago wasn't even here It is strange... Their cries are like beautiful music!',he had said.

Owen Wilson has two films out in theaters this summer, Midnight in Paris, and Cars 2 where he is the voice of Lightning McQueen.
