It's usually the winning team that goes nuts after a victory, but hockey fans in Vancouver took to the streets after the Game Seven loss to the Boston Bruins in the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, and things turned ugly.

Like the 1994 Stanley Cup loss, Canucks fans rioted and looted in downtown Vancouver.

There have been no reported deaths in the demonstrations, but there has been plenty of fights and vandalism. Cars have been overturned and set on fire, there has been looting, and beer bottles have been thrown at giant TV screens.

Mayor Gregor Robertson called the violence embarrassing and shameful.
