Pipo X8 is an interesting mini PC and TV box that is powered by Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 KitKat operating systems. The device was first spotted at the HKTDC fair in Hong Kong. It is the successor model of the well-received Pipo X7 and is now available with an inexpensive price tag.

Pipo X8 is a versatile gadget that works as a mini PC powered by Windows 8.1 OS and it doubles up as a set-top box with Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Since it supports both operating systems, users can enjoy apps from the app stores of both the operating systems.

Unlike other mini-PCs on the market, the Pipo X8 comes with its own touchscreen display of seven inches. It offers a display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

It is powered by Intel Z3736F chipset that contains a quad-core processor that clocks at 2.16 GHz along with 2 GB of RAM. It also includes an Intel HD graphics. The native storage of the device is 64 GB. It also comes with an SD card slot, Win Beta reported.

The Pipo X8 is not loaded with any bloatware programs and it comes with one year of free Office 365. The device functions as a small desktop PC.

It comes with 4 USB ports and an HDMI slot. Some of the other features of the Pipo X8 include inbuilt speakers, v4.0 Bluetooth, Ethernet and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. It does not feature an inbuilt battery, so users will have to connect to the power socket.

Gear Best has listed the Pipo X8 with a low price tag of $117 for the 64 GB variant. The retailer is selling the 32 GB variant for $103. However, Amazon is selling the 32 GB version for $122.90. The Chinese retailer is offering free shipping across the world.
