Pipo X9 is a new TV box that functions on Windows as well as Android. Unlike other TV box, the device also works as a standalone tablet PC.

Pipo had announced its X8 TV box during the HKDTC 2015 fair in Hong Kong, and now it has released a new TV box called the X9. Like its predecessor, the Pipo X9 TV box comes with a unique design of a tablet, Neowin reported.

Compared to other mini PC devices that are available as USB sticks, the Pipo X9 features its own display. By connecting a mouse and a keyboard, and an external display, users can use it as a full-fledged PC.

As far as the specifications of the Pipo X9 are concerned, it comes with dual boot support for Windows 10 and Android 4.4 KitKat. It allows users to enjoy apps from the app stores of both the operating systems. The device is fitted with an 8.9-inch LCD display that supports full HD resolution.

Under the hood of the Pipo X9 is the Intel Z373F chipset, which includes a processor that can clock at a max speed of 1.83 GHz. It is supported by Intel HD graphics and 2 GB of RAM. The native storage available on the device is 32 GB. The expandable storage supports up to 32 GB of microSD.

For connectivity, it comes with support for features like 4.0 Bluetooth, HDMI, full-sized USB 2.0 port, RJ45 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is equipped with inbuilt speakers and microphone. Since it lacks a battery, it can be used while connected to the power adapter, Softpedia reported.
