German sportscar maker Porsche sees potential for double-digit growth in Asia this year while growth in North America will take longer to return to pre-crisis levels, a magazine reported.

In Asia I certainly see potential for slight double-digit growth, Porsche's marketing head Klaus Berning told trade magazine Automobilwoche in comments released from an interview to be published on Monday.

Berning was also quoted as saying that he expected sales in Europe to show some growth at best this year while it would take somewhat longer to return to the levels of before the financial crisis in North America.

Porsche AG has said it expects to retain a double-digit operating margin and grow its volumes slightly in the fiscal year to end-July.
