Portland police has said that a body found by school children in northeast Portland on Monday has been identified as 13-year-old Julio Cesar Marquez who was slain, according to Fox 12 Oregon.

Police said Marquez's death was a result of multiple gunshot wounds and blunt-force trauma. His body was found on the 10700 block of northeast Halsey Street.

Police originally said the teenage boy's death was suspicious. They have yet to establish a motive for the killing and have no suspect in custody.
