F5 Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:FFIV) shares climbed 11.53 percent to $111.24 in pre-market trading session after reporting better-than-expected second quarter results. Net income rose to $55.6 million or $0.68 per share from $33.1 million or $0.41 per share in the same quarter last year.

UnitedHealth Group Inc. (NYSE:UNH) shares climbed 7.59 percent to $44.24 in pre-market trading session as the company raised its full-year earnings guidance. The company expects fiscal 2011 earnings to be in the range of $3.95 to $4.05 per share on $101 billion revenue, while analysts expect a net profit of $3.50 to $3.70 per share on $100 billion revenue. Its first quarter net income rose to $1.35 billion or $1.22 per share from $1.19 billion or $1.03 per share in the same period last year.

Charles Schwab Corp. (NYSE:SCHW) shares gained 7.53 percent to $20.24 in pre-market trading session.

SLM Corp. (NYSE:SLM) shares surged 5.12 percent to $15.20 in pre-market trading session after reporting better-than-expected first quarter earnings. Excluding items, core earnings rose to $260 million or $0.48 per share from $215 million or $0.40 per share in the same quarter last year, while analyst expected a net income of $0.40 per share.

Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM) shares gained 5.14 percent to $51.55 in pre-market trading session after the company said its first quarter profit rose 10 percent from last year. Net income rose to $264 million or $0.54 per share from $241 million or $0.50 per share in the same quarter a year-ago.

Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) shares gained 4.19 percent to $8.94 in pre-market trading session. The company reported earnings of 344 million euros for the first quarter, down from 349 million euros last year. Nokia's first quarter sales rose to 10.4 billion euros from 9.52 billion euros. Sales came in above consensus estimates of 10.1 billion euros.

Noble Corp. (NYSE:NE) shares declined 3.06 percent to $42.10 in pre-market trading session. Its first quarter profit plunged 85 percent to $54.0 million or $0.21 per share compared to $370.7 million or $1.43 per share in the same quarter a year-ago.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE:CMG) shares declined 2.33 percent to $281.40 in pre-market trading session. The company reported first quarter net income of $1.46 per share compared to $1.19 in the same quarter last year and against analysts’ estimation of $1.44 per share.

Ingersoll-Rand Plc (NYSE:IR) shares declined 2.21 percent to $47.75 in pre-market trading session. The company swung to first quarter net loss of $77.6 million or $0.22 per share compared to a net profit of 1.4 million in the same quarter last year. Total revenues rose 13 percent to $3.14 billion from $2.76 billion.

Halliburton Co. (NYSE:HAL) shares declined 1.81 percent to $48.78 in pre-market trading session. The stock has a 52 week low of $21.10 and 52 week high of $50.74 and has $45.43 billion market capitalization.
