Gainers

Shares of Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: PCRX) rose about 16 percent, or $1.61, to $11.79 after it announced Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of Exparel, for post-surgical pain management.

Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: IBKR) added about 6 percent, or 85 cents, to $16.07. The company's shares closed Friday's trading session at $15.22.

Shares of Harbin Electric Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HRBN) gained 5 percent, or $1.13, to $23.68 after it announced the shareholder approval of its merger with Tech Full Electric.

Losers

Yahoo, Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) shares declined about 3 percent, or 48 cents, to $16.08 after Bloomberg reported that the company is leaning toward selling its Asian assets and redistributing the proceeds to shareholders, rather than selling itself to a group of buyers.

Shares of Dryships, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRYS) fell 5 percent, or 15 cents, to $2.75. They closed Friday's regular trading session at $2.90.
