Sasha Pieterse, former star of “Pretty Little Liars,” just landed a new movie role. Freeform

“Pretty Little Liars” might be over, but there’s still more to come from Ali DiLaurentis. Well, from Sasha Pieterse, the actress who played her, at least.

The 21-year-old actress is heading back to high school (hopefully without A this time) in a new Lionsgate film, “Honored.” She’ll play the tough and independent Isabella, who’s not to be messed with. As if that alone wasn’t enough excitement, the news gets even better.

Also starring in the new teen production is former “Teen Wolf” actress Arden Cho. After playing the fan-favorite Kira on the MTV series, Cho is no stranger to the high school hallways, either. This time, she’s trading her sword in for pointe shoes. Her character, Honor, is an aspiring ballerina and the center of the community.

Rounding out the cast are YouTuber Meghan Rienks and stylist-turned-actress Karrueche Tran. Rienks will play Piper, the school’s party girl, while Tran stars as Sophie, a virgin who creates a purity app.

Together, they make up a group of four best friends who enter high school, ready to take on the world. In true Hollywood high school fashion, the girls decide to create a list of things they want to accomplish before graduating and put it in a time capsule to sink in a local lake.

Fast-forward a bit to senior year and the teens are no longer friends. They changed, matured, grew, and drifted apart. But, inevitably, something happens that brings Piper, Sophie, Honor, and Isabella back together again. Now, they will only have a few more months to complete their bucket list before graduation.

The teen film genre has been seriously lacking new movies in the last decade, which makes this a welcome entry. Add in the fierce foursome starring in the film and all of a sudden it’s a real winner.

The cherry topping? Ethan Peck, former star of ABC Family’s “10 Things I Hate About You” and Gregory Peck’s grandson, can also be seen in this new film. While little is known about his character yet, his name will be Dillon. It has love interest written all over it.

To help get fans more excited about the upcoming flick, the movie’s stars have been sharing photos on Instagram to introduce their characters to the world.

Pieterse posted a photo of a pink-haired Isabella, walking down a school hallway, giving off rock-and-roll signs with her hands. It’s easy to see why she says she’s “a force to be reckoned with” in the caption.

Cho, on the other hand, shows off her “first time EVER on poine shoes” in a behind-the-scenes picture. Dance rehearsals are underway to get her ready for the role of a ballerina.

Tran wants everyone to “meet Sophie – the conservative eighteen year old who’s saving herself til marriage” in a new photo posted to her Instagram account. The picture shows Tran’s character in a white-and-red blouse, tie and black hat in what appears to be a school bathroom.

While Rienks has yet to post a behind-the-scenes photo on her personal Instagram account, the film’s account has posted one for her. She’s captured laughing by school lockers in casual jeans and a flirty top.

These first photos are just to introduce the characters, but they’re doing a good job building excitement for the film. Hopefully it’s only a matter of time until video teasers come along. Until then, keep the fun photos coming.
