Kimberly-Clark Corp, the maker of Kleenex facial tissue and Huggies diapers, said on Friday that it plans to raise prices in the U.S. for its baby, childcare and consumer tissue products.

The company said the hikes are necessary due to inflationary pressure from higher raw material and energy costs.

Between July 20 and August 31 this year, prices for Huggies diapers, Pull-Ups training pants, Cottonelle and Schott bathroom tissue, Viva towels and Kleenex facial tissue will rise between 6 and 8 percent.

Price changes may vary by brand and package count, the company said. Last year, sales of the products mentioned were $4.5 billion.
