Newlyweds Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his wife Sofia Hellqvist are on their first official tour together to Värmland, a province in the west of Sweden. Carl Philip, 36, and Princess Sofia, 30, looked loved up as they arrived from Stockholm by train.

The couple went to visit the mansion of Mårbacka, the home of Swedish author and Nobel laureate Selma Lagerlöf, which was their first engagement. The new princess was dressed in a short navy skirt that she paired with a white blouse. In spite of the inclement weather, the former model smiled and waved to the crowd, who had gathered to greet the royal couple, Hello reported.

The young royal left her long tresses loose over her shoulders, styled into a middle part and carried bouquet of pink and red flowers during her walkabout, which was gifted by the locals. Carl Philip looked dapper in trousers, shirt and a blazer. The couple showed some PDA as the prince placed an arm around his wife.

The young royals then went for a visit to the nature reserve Byamossarna in Arvika on Wednesday. Sofia was casually dressed for the wet weather in skintight black jeans, which she paired with long sleeve white top. To protect herself from the rain, the princess wore waterproofs and wellington boots.

Carl Philip cut a handsome figure in brown trousers, white shirt and a gray blazer. The couple looked animated as they walked along in the rain carrying umbrellas. Sofia opted for natural makeup with nude lipstick and a hint of blush.

The nature trail was a gift from the County Administrative Board of Värmland in conjunction with Carl Philip and Sofia’s marriage, and is called “Duke Couple hiking trail”.

The couple were in high spirits throughout the hike, and upon arrival at the nature reserve they told Swedish newspaper Expressen: “We are so happy to be here.” Carrl Philip and Sofia also posed for photographers. It appeared that their honeymoon period was still far from over.

Carl Philip tied the knot with his longtime fiancée Sofia on June 13, in one of the most high-profile royal weddings of summer. The wedding was held at the royal chapel in Stockholm. Sofia said “I do” wearing a gown by local designer Ida Sjöstedt. The lace gown featured a V neckline and elegant long sleeves.
