According to new reports from Italy and France, French Ligue 1 side PSG’s Italian goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu has drawn interest from English Premier League side Chelsea, who are keeping a close eye on the player.

Sirigu, 24, who joined from Italian club Palermo last summer, has already made himself the number one choice for PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti with his back-to-back good performances off late. He is currently the side primary goalkeeper.

Chelsea are said to be keeping an eye on the player and is also believed to have sent scouts to report about the development of the player. The English side will also know that since the player has joined the club only recently and has put forward good performance, it will be tough to lure him away to Stamford Bridge.

However, Chelsea may put forward a deal for the player during the summer transfer window, according to a Footybunker report.

Sirigu, who is a fan favorite at the Parisian club, has quickly seen off competition from fellow new signing Nicolas Douchez to become the number one goalkeeper at PSG. He also has two U-21 caps for Italy.
