Once again, Her Majesty is rumored to be at odds with the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II might be spying on her grandson Prince William’s pregnant wife, Life & Style reports. The accusation follows persistent rumors of Kate’s supposedly turbulent relationship with the queen.

According to Gossip Cop, the magazine published claims that Kate, 33, is “terrified” that Queen Elizabeth has planted “spies” on her staff. Specifically, the magazine mentioned the duchess’ former housekeeper and landscaper as potential agents of the 88-year-old monarch. Her suspicions reportedly stem from the two workers’ decision to leave Anmer Hall — her current country home with Prince William, 32, and their 1-year-old son Prince George — to work for the queen at Kensington Palace.

The tabloid shares that Kate is scared her former employees “could spill her secrets” to the queen, with whom she has “repeatedly clashed.”

“Kate’s greatest fear is that someone in her house could be spying on her,” an "insider" told the tabloid. “She knows the queen doesn’t fully trust her and staff members are quite loyal to the queen. Kate would hate for them to tell her anything they saw or heard.”

Is there any truth to the latest rumors of yet another feud between Kate and the queen? According to Gossip Cop’s own sources, the allegations are baseless, with one source “close to the situation” calling the magazine’s report “ridiculous.”

While Life & Style’s latest story has been denied, there have been several claims of a continuing feud in recent days. In the magazine's March 9 edition, it was alleged that Kate — who is due to welcome her second child next month — was at odds with her grandmother-in-law over her decision to move in with her mother Carole following the child’s birth.

“The queen raised her voice as she clashed with Kate and Prince William about how they raised their child. Kate couldn’t bear it any longer and walked out,” a “royal insider” said. “Kate wants to do things her own way and wants the queen to stay out of her baby’s life, and the queen is furious. She’s sticking to her guns about the new baby.”

If there is a feud brewing, let’s hope that the two can put their differences aside ahead of Commonwealth Day Monday. Kate, the queen, and several other members of the royal family are scheduled to attend the annual service at Westminster Abbey in London.
