Adrienne Bailon is ecstatic about her engagement to Israel Houghton.

The “Real” host couldn't help but gush about the new chapter in her relationship with the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter. In an appearance on “Hollywood Today Live,” the former Cheetah Girl recalled the moment Houghton asked her to marry him.

“We were vacationing in Europe. We had just gone to Greece and ended up coming back to Paris, and I was surprised with my parents showing up in Paris,” Bailon said. “I didn't know. There was some trickery going on.”

The host also said that the engagement happened just in time for her parents' celebration of their 20th year of marriage, so she thought they were just celebrating it with them.

Bailon also said that she's very excited to get married to Houghton. She added that while some people might think that they got engaged too hastily, they have actually known each other for a long time and they know exactly what they want in relationships.

Speaking of her beau, Bailon said: “I knew exactly what I wanted, and he is everything I wanted and more. He's awesome. He is my best friend. I think that makes such a big difference.”

Bailon announced the news via Instagram. She posted a video of her hand, with the Eiffel Tower in the background and “La Vie en Rose” playing. She captioned the post simply: “You. Me. Oui.”

Rumors about their relationship started swirling when the two were spotted getting cozy while on vacation in Mexico in March. Some people were shocked by the news since the outing came just a month after Houghton announced that he and his wife of over 20 years, Meleasa, were divorcing, according to E! News. Houghton was quick to defend Bailon, clarifying that she is not the reason he and his wife decided to call it quits.

Bailon was previously engaged to music producer Lenny Santiago. They dated for six years.
