It looks like we're in for another drama-filled season of "The Real Housewives of New York City." Bravo released the over-the-top teaser for the upcoming season, revealing to fans that they should expect to see some fresh meat as well as familiar faces heading up the "RHONY" cast. The trailer reintroduced fans to Bethenny Frankel, who left the show in 2010, as well as newcomer Dorinda Medley.

Though this is the first season Medley will serve as a full-time "Housewife," she has made a few brief cameos on the show before thanks to her friendships with Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps.

"I know these girls. I know their world. I've even done a few cameos," she said in an interview with The New York Post. "So I thought, why not give it a try and see if it is something that suits me?"

According to People, Medley also loves "to see a good argument between two people," so she should feel right at home amongst this group of women!

Prior to doing reality TV, the New England native kicked off her fashion career in the New York City showrooms at Liz Claiborne. She then moved to London where she successfully owned and operated her own high-end cashmere company, DCL Cashmere, alongside her then husband. With a lot of hard work and a little help from Princess Diana, Medley's company was able to take off.

"It was 1989. I got Princess Diana to be one of my clients and project the company forward with the British classes," she told The Post.

After her marriage of 10 years ended, Dorinda sold her share of the company, packed up her things and shipped back to the states with her daughter Hannah, who is now 21-years-old. After settling down in the states and beginning a career in real estate, Dorinda met her second husband, Richard Medley, when she sold him a townhouse on the Upper East Side. The two tied the knot in 2005 and began working together to raise money for noble causes alongside famous folks like Desmond Tutu, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Hilary Clinton. Unfortunately their marriage was short-lived – Richard died unexpectedly in 2011 at the age of 60.

Three years later Dorinda is looking to start fresh. According to The Post she's currently dating John Mahdessian, owner of Madame Paulette, and hopes to bring more fun than fights to "The Real Housewives of New York City" cast.

"I want to be the woman at 80 cracking jokes and picking up a man," she said. "I want to be the life of the party until my last breath."
