While reports of the highly publicized divorce of Kim Kardashian begin to fizzle, the spotlight is on Reggie Bush after he finally made a public statement about his ex-girlfriend's divorce after 72 days of marriage and failed to mention his new girlfriend.

Bush was on a conference call Tuesday with New England reporters and one reporter at the Boston Herald couldn't let him go without asking about Kardashian and her divorce from New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries.

Ha, I have no comment about that, man, Bush said during the conference laughing. I'm focused on football right now.

When the reporter asked what he thought about the fact Kardashian filed for divorce after only 72 days, Miami Dolphins running back Bush dodged the question, but not before getting one jab in.

Yeah, well, I guess stranger things have happened, Bush said. But like I said, I'm focused on football and not focused on anybody else's marriage or anything like that.

Bush said he is also aware of reports in tabloids, as most recently, Life & Style reported that Bush has reached out to Kardashian and the former couple will most likely get back together.

Yeah, trust me, I'm very well aware of what goes in the magazines, Bush responded.

According to Life & Style, Bush has been supportive for his former girlfriend, calling, texting and communicating with her via Skype.

Reggie reached out to Kim via text shortly after she announced she was filing for divorce to make sure she was OK, an insider told the tabloid. They've stayed in touch ever since, texting and talking. Kim was Reggie's first love. He knows she's hurting right now, but when the time is right, he'll swoop in and take care of her.

Kardashian and Bush broke up in March 2010, after reports came out that Bush was cheating with a woman named January Gessert, who ironically enough, confessed her innocence in an interview with Fox News the same day as Bush's conference call.

I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and it was photographed, Gessert told Fox News of the media spotting her at Bush's home in March 2010. I am friends with Reggie and we weren't sleeping together and I had been at his house. We were drinking at a bar down the street and stayed there late so no one drove home drunk and I left at seven in the morning.

According to Gessert, media reports of her false relationship with Bush have impacted her aspiring music career negatively.

There was a picture taken and they showed it to the Kardashians and they spun the story out of thin air. I told people the truth and they printed something completely different anyways...They paint you however they want to paint you to make Kim look good.

While Bush and Gessert never dated, reports have subsided of his new girlfriend, Kardashian look-a-like Melissa Molinaro.

Molinaro, a 28-year-old Canadian pop singer, was reportedly the cause of a lawsuit, when Kardashian sued Old Navy for hiring a lookalike, who coincidently was Bush's girlfriend Molinaro.

We'll see if Reggie Bush has more to say about his new girlfriend when his football season ends in Janaury.
