One woman says a seemingly harmless outing turned dangerous after she refused to go back to her date’s Williamsburg, Brooklyn, apartment.

In an interview with the New York Post, the 22-year-old St. John’s University student, who chose to not reveal her name, said the date began with no problems. “It started pretty well. We talked for two weeks before we met in person.”

Following a few drinks, though, her date asked her to go home with him. When she declined, the man got annoyed. She says he then followed her to the subway, tossing a water bottle at her head and taking off with her phone. The woman was able to safely get away from the man and authorities are now searching for him.

“I guess he doesn’t take rejection well,” the victim said. “He was acting like a child.”

The woman told the Post that her date has since used her phone to access her OKCupid account, uploading photos of her to the app and even switching her profile to say “I’m available for threesomes.” She also claims he has texted her friends, acting as if he was her.

The woman gave the OKCupid profile picture to police, who are now investigating the incident.
