Republican Sen. Jon Kyl said on Thursday he will not support Timothy Geithner as the next Treasury secretary.

He was disappointed with Geithner's explanations yesterday about why he did not pay personal taxes, which he eventually repaid.

I don't believe that the requisite candor exists for me to indicate my support for him with an affirmative vote, Kyl said ahead of a Senate Finance Committee vote for the nomination, according to Reuters.
