Stock index futures added to gains on Friday as sales at U.S. retailers rose more than expected in November, raising hopes the economic recovery is gathering steam.

S&P 500 futures rose 6.40 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures gained 58 points, while Nasdaq 100 futures added 10.75 points.
