Richmond was led by Justin Harper and Kevin Anderson, who scored 19 and 14 points, respectively.

The Eagles were held to just 36 percent field-goal shooting in the first half.

Number-12 seed Richmond will face the winner of Kansas and Illiniois in the Sweet 16 in San Antonio.
