Rick and Morty will endanger their lives in a risky mission. Adult Swim

The next episode of “Rick and Morty” Season 3 will feature Rick (Justin Roiland) and Morty (Roiland) in a dangerous adventure.

“Rick and Morty” Season 3, episode 6, titled “Rest and Ricklaxation” sounds fun. Initially, many believed that this episode will feature Rick and Jerry’s (Chris Parnell) adventure as they were seen in Season 3 promo enjoying a fun ride together and it fits in the title. However, that scene already aired in episode 5 of the Adult Swim show. Viewers get to see a new plot featuring Rick and his grandson, Morty, this Sunday.

In the promo teaser for “Rick and Morty” Season 3, episode 6, Morty overhears his classmates talking about Jessica (Kari Wahlgren) breaking up with her boyfriend. She says she wants to be on her own, but if someone really special will come along, if someone she has never considered in the past will approach her, she might date again.

Morty approaches the girls, but before he can say other words than “hey,” his grandfather, Rick arrives and snatches him away from the girls for another mission. There is a plasma shard in the jungle and a princess has it. Rick wants to have it and needs Morty’s help.

Initially, Morty wants to refuse. “We’ve been going nonstop Rick. It’s not healthy. You know these are my teenage years. I just found out Jessica is single,” Morty tells his grandfather. However, Rick does not mind and continues to persuade Morty for a 20-minute adventure that lasts for six days.

In the next scene, the pair is seen fighting for their lives as a frenzy of creatures like sharks attack them. There is an explosion and thankfully Rick and Morty are safe. In another scene, the two receive an award for their heroic act but return in their spaceship crying and shouting.

“I can’t do this anymore,” Morty tells Rick. “That was seriously [explicit], we almost died,” Rick answers. Morty is surprised about his grandfather’s admission and even asks him if the danger is real. “Yes, this was insane that was pure luck. I was not in control of that situation at all.” Morty weeps.

Morty asks Rick why he keeps on endangering their lives. The older man answers that maybe he hates himself and deserves to die but cannot really figure out why he keeps on doing crazy stuff. Morty keeps on crying until Rick says, “We need a vacation.”

From the promo, episode 6, “Rest and Ricklaxation” does not seem relaxing, but Rick tells Morty that they need a vacation. So, viewers should watch out for that part. How will the grandfather and grandson relax after their dangerous mission?

Watch “Rick and Morty” Season 3, episode 5, on Sunday, 11:30 p.m. EDT on Adult Swim.
