Rihanna may have curved Drake on stage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have love for him. The “Work” singer took to Instagram late Friday to thank fans, friends and family for helping to take her career to new heights, simultaneously shouting out her rumored beau.

In the post, Rihanna noted that she would not be half the woman that she is today if it were not for the love and support of her fans and those in her inner circle. She then named a few specific influences, including Naomi Campbell, Mary J. Blige and more before tackling Drake. The Bayesian songstress revealed that while it may not have seemed like it at the time, she was deeply moved by the “4 p.m in Calabasas” rapper’s heartfelt speech. In closing, she tossed a causal “I love you” his way, adding that the night of the 2016 VMAs — held in New York City on Aug. 28, 2016 — was the “best night” of her life.

The post surfaced amid speculation that Rihanna, 28, may now be wearing her heart on her sleeve — or should we say her ankle. The five-time Grammy award winner appeared on the Instagram account of celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang sporting some fresh ink. The tattooer showed off a camouflage shark he had just finished permanently placing on Rihanna, which bears a striking similarity to a stuffed animal she was given by the Toronto native.

As if that’s not enough, the pair engaged in some serious PDA on stage during a show in Miami. Drake, 29, was there as a part of the Summer Sixteen tour and surprised fans with a performance of “B---- Better Have My Money.” Fans photographed the duo sharing a smooch on stage. Onlookers noted that the performance PDA was not the first time fans saw them getting cozy. Sources told E! News Rihanna and Drake spent the night prior to their performance side-by-side at club E11even.

“Rihanna and Drake were happy, not hiding and totally affectionate in front of everyone. At one point they were kissing and holding each other. They seemed very comfortable with each other. Besides for when he was performing, they didn’t leave each other’s side,” the source told E!

On Aug. 28, Drake surprised fans and Rihanna by appearing at the 2016 VMAs at the last second to present her with her Video Vanguard Award. During his speech he praised her accomplishments, adding that he has “been in love” with her for many years. He closed out with an attempt at a kiss, but was unsuccessful.
