Rihanna took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a series of photoshopped images showing Queen Elizabeth II’s head superimposed on some of the singer's most notable looks. She received backlash from several users on social media, but the criticism did not seem to affect her and she once again posted another photoshopped image of the queen on Monday.

She captioned the photo saying "haters will say it's photoshopped."

The pop singer first posted the photoshopped images of the queen over the weekend, with captions like “be humble,” “ya’ll chickens is ash and I’m lotion” and “it’s not that deep," which showed the monarch’s head placed onto Rihanna’s body.

The pictures seemed to have been posted to celebrate the queen's birthday on Friday. The monarch turned 91 this year. However, a lot of social media users thought Rihanna's posts were disrespectful.

“I think it’s a bit degrading. Hasn’t she done enough and earned enough respect for us to ask permission first? (For us to portray her in a way she may not like or find belittling of her accomplishments. She is just another human and might find it hurtful),” one user wrote.

“This is just disrespectful she is our monarch who has ruled for 65 years of her 91 years of life, she has dedicated her whole life to the service of the UK and over-seas territories,” another user wrote. “A job as monarch she probably never wanted and had no choice in the matter and is certainly a job she was never brought up to do. She deserves respect no matter what you think of the monarchy.”

The first image posted by the pop singer showed the queen wearing a bright green hat attached to Rihanna's fur green coat and matching boots.

The second image showed the British monarch sporting Rihanna's famous red heart-shaped coat. The coat was seen paired with shorts and strappy high-heels.

The pop singer kept on posting some more bizarre photoshopped images of the queen even after facing criticism. In one of the photos, the queen was seen sporting a diamond-encrusted tiara and wearing a sparkly Gucci body suit below a white tank paired with shorts.

The pop singer responded to the criticism with another photo of the queen holding a liquor bottle and captioned it, saying "It's not that deep."
