‘Riverdale’
Who killed Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines) in “Riverdale” Season 1, episode 12? The CW

“Riverdale” Season 1 will soon reveal the identity of Jason Blossom’s (Trevor Stines) killer.

While speaking with TV Line, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed that the big reveal will take place in episode 12. Following the shocking twist, “Riverdale” Season 1 will end with episode 13, and it will be centered on the main relationships in the hit The CW series. Both episodes will be linked to each other in such a way that Jason’s killer’s identity will open the door to more mysteries for Season 2.

Aguirre-Sacasa’s statements came just hours before actor Mark Consuelos was tapped to play the role of Veronica’s (Camila Mendes) dad, Hiram Lodge. The character will first be introduced in Season 2, and he is expected to join the show as a series regular. As of late, there are speculations that Hiram was the one who had Jason killed, so his casting could serve as a timely clue. However, TV Line reported that Consuelos currently stars in FOX’s “Pitch.” And if the series is renewed, the actor might have to drop out of his role in “Riverdale” Season 2.

Meanwhile, ahead of the final two episodes for “Riverdale” Season 1, Thursday night’s 11th episode will first see Fred (Luke Perry) spending time with his wife, Mary (Molly Ringwald). “Chapter Eleven: To Riverdale And Back” will see the couple contemplating on whether or not they should finalize their divorce. “The question of ‘is she maybe going to rekindle with Fred?’ is definitely in play,” Aguirre-Sacasa said.

Additionally, Mary and Hermione (Marisol Nichols) will also have at least one scene together. Since the former is a lawyer, she will give the latter some legal advice. Elsewhere, Betty (Lili Reinhart) will struggle with her relationship with Jughead (Cole Sprouse).

“Riverdale” Season 1 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
