Rob Kardashian was spotted making a trip to an In-N-Out Burger outlet in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles Thursday night. It was one of the few times the 28-year-old brother of Khloe, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian was publicly sighted this year. And it was the first time the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star was photographed in public since his ex-stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, announced her new identity June 1.

The photos show Rob in black shorts, a black T-shirt and a black baseball cap. The reluctant reality-television star has been absent on social-media sites since May 29, giving his 5.65 million Twitter followers no insight into his well-being. Rob has also been missing in recent episodes of the E network’s reality-TV series, leaving fans wondering whether there may be some drama going on behind-the-scenes.

The first clue that things may not be perfect in the Kardashian family? Rob posted a photo from the Ben Affleck film “Gone Girl” on Instagram in March. It was a picture of the actress Rosamund Pike in a nightgown covered in blood. He captioned the post, “This is my sister kim, the b---- from Gone Girl…” The shot was deleted soon afterward.

Members of the Kardashian family were also worried when Rob reportedly disappeared for three days this year, according to the Daily Mail. It was later discovered he was out of town.

It was reported last May that Kim was angry Rob didn’t attend her wedding to husband Kanye West, and that she “was p---ed Rob hadn’t made an effort to drop any weight over the past few months ... Rob basically thinks Kim cares about him only for his appearance and he said he’d ‘make life easier’ for her and just leave,” a source told the New York Daily News May 24 of last year.

Rob hasn’t commented on Caitlyn Jenner’s transition or on her Vanity Fair cover, although he did tweet after Caitlyn’s interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer:
